11:11 am

As much as I like to meet new and interesting people, certain people, some of whom need to get on with their lives and leave me OUT of them, have forced me to do this. I know, drama in a LiveJournal, what? But I don't feel like dealing with the damage control. I'm still going to leave the non-personal entries open.

But if you add me or leave a comment here, I'll at least check out your journal at some point and possibly add you back. Don't take it too personally if I don't, I feel I spend too much time reading this as it is and may just not want to add more time to it.

11:11 pm - Summer...eventually
So it's difficult to believe since I'm still using heat at night, but eventually Summer will be here and I can go outside without losing digits again. And time to make plans for the scant few weekends of good weather that we get. I'll probably go to Waterfire in Providence again. There's a labyrinth out in western MA that I want to see. Maybe even make it out to Tanglewood. And I definitely want to visit the Gorey House. Anybody up for a caravan to that?

10:52 pm - Not Above, Nor Below
After seeing Eddie Izzard Tuesday night, I've been musing about how much of the show was about religion and the unlikeliness of the existence of God, and of course how religions tend to fuck up things anyways. Another comedian, George Carlin, has touched on many of the same things he did, in particular the ten commandments and how they can be reduced to just one (no need for the one about coveting (or "covering" as Izzard misunderstood it) your neighbor's oxen). And yet another, Bill Hicks, also questioned why there are no dinosaurs in the bible. I find it interesting how the comedic mind seems to come to these same conclusions.

8:37 pm - Artwork on Display!
Okay, it's not exactly a gallery show, but one takes what they can get...my artwork will be on display at Bukowski in Inman Square (1281 Cambridge St, Cambridge, MA) for the month of May. There will be an opening of sorts on Sunday, May 4th from 2 - 4 PM. It'd be great if you could come by. Even if you don't care for my artwork, you could instead congratulate me on surviving 4 decades on this planet. Which I hope you'll be doing the following night at Ceremony, which is on my actual birthday. ¡Cinco de Mayo!

OMG finally new Portishead!!!

Also, seeing Robert Rodriquez' "10 Minute Cooking School" featurettes on his movies' DVDs makes me want to get off my arse about that lack of talent in my life.

10:53 pm - : click :
The past Sunday I had the first photoshoot that I've done In far too long, with a model that I've talked to back forth for almost as long about doing one. I'm still waiting for the film (yes, film) to get developed, but I also had a digital camera and have some rough shots from that. Obviously some background editing will be done. I'll have a real studio some day soon.

It was just good to be doing something creative again, plus she was really easy to work with.

It may be becoming a cliche thing for a DJ to say, but you could definitely feel the energy in the air Monday night, like the electrical charge in the air before a thunderstorm.
